ceft and company’s creative director ucef hanjani redesigned and recurated the west coast publication soma, releasing numerous noteworthy issues. eventually,many of these became collectors’ issues, some of which even fetched hundreds of dollars on ebay. featuring cover stories with cult figures of the time such as actor/director vincent gallo, actress chloe sevigny, director wong kar-wai, designer raf simons, and popular figures like david bowie, tom waits and the like made advertisers and readers take notice of this magazine. within a year, distribution grew from local to national and eventually, international. other infamous fashion figures as terry richardson, marc jacobs, and comme des garçons were also centered upon, developing a juxtaposition between art, fashion, culture, and music. view all work for editorial / art direction.
